Terms and Conditions
The “Contractor” is Berkshire Maintenance Services LTD and the “Client” is a person or entity seeking goods and/or services from the contractors.

An ‘estimate’ is a formal offer made by the contractor to the client. An estimate is an estimation of costs. Not a definitive quotation and may be subject to variation or change.

All materials used on site remain the property of Berkshire Maintenance Services LTD until payment has been received following the final invoice for the specified works.

Accepting (written or verbally) a written quotation, estimate or estimation from Berkshire Maintenance Services LTD and agreeing to the commencement of work will allow these terms and conditions to come into effect and deem that the works have started. The Client or contractor may withdraw from the quotation offer prior to the commencement of works without sanction or penalty however any deposits paid by the client will be used to pay for any materials or products ordered on the client’s behalf. All materials or products will be forwarded to the client with delivery charges. Berkshire Maintenance Services LTD also reserved the right to recover any preparatory costs incurred prior to physical commencement on site should the Client give notice of cancellation. The main contractor, Berkshire Maintenance Services LTD employ both direct and sub-contracted labour to work on- site. Each individual contractor takes full responsibility of their own third party liability insurance. The main contractor will oversee all works to completion and takes full responsibility in the running of any contract agreed with the client.

Working arrangements: All prices quoted are calculated on the basis of free access and unimpeded working during our normal working hours. Our standard working hours are between 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am – 3pm. Unless otherwise agreed.

Access & Facilities: Reasonable access to the work areas will be required during working hours and by prior agreement holding areas for the storage of bulk materials, plant and equipment. Generally, a cost free 240v electricity supply for use with power equipment and tools associated with the works is to be provided by the client unless otherwise agreed. Generally, we will require a mains pressure water supply to be used in association with works and staff welfare. Free access is required for delivery of building materials, plant, machinery and skips etc Access and the collection of used or unused building materials, equipment and plant remains in place until full and cleared final payment is received.

Performance of Materials & Products Most materials & products whether man made or natural (such as wood) are subject to naturally varying environmental conditions and may expand contract warp or twist temporarily or permanently as a result. Additionally, some materials will naturally resist ingress of moisture or readily accept moisture under certain environmental conditions. Whilst we will always be happy to provide our opinion as to whether a material or product will be suitable for installation in a particular environment, we make no guarantee of the performance of such materials or products. We strongly advise that Clients refer to the manufacturers recommendations.
